Cares Act and Heerf Grants

Arnold’s Beauty School has received funding through the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to all enrolled students as of March 13, 2020. The institution has signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement, which assures that the institution intends to use no less than 50% of the fund for students. 

The institution will receive $68,240 from the Department of Education pursuant to the Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to the Students.

A total of $34,120 of the Emergency Financial Aid Grants will be distributed to the students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act will occur within 30 days of submission and 45 days thereafter. 

An estimated total of 53 students at Arnold’s Beauty School are eligible to participate in the program under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.

The Institution determined that all students enrolled in the Cosmetology program as of March 13, 2020 were impacted by the Covid-19 crisis and would receive the Emergency Financial Aid Grants in the amount of $643.78 each due to their needs addressed in the form.

Students were informed of the monies available for this form through a post and email addressed to all enrolled students on our Google Classroom. 


The email contained the following information: 
 

"Arnold’s Beauty School has received funding through the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to all enrolled students as of March 13. The institution has signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement. The Institution determined that all students enrolled in the Cosmetology program as of March 13, 2020 were impacted by the Covid-19 crisis and would receive the Emergency Financial Aid Grants in the amount of $643.78 each. In order to qualify for the grant you must be Title IV eligible (a completed a FAFSA for 2019-2020 and/or birth certificate to show citizenship  is acceptable).

We will be in touch with you on receiving your grant money tomorrow, Wednesday, May 13, 2020.

UPDATE: All 53 enrolled students have filled out the following form and sent their current address prior to receiving the Emergency Financial Aid Grants.  A total number of 53 students have received the Emergency Financial Aid Grant to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.

HEERF II GRANTS REPORTING

Arnold’s Beauty School has received funding from the HEERF II Grant to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to all enrolled students as of July 1, 2021. The institution has signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement, which assures that the only students will receive funds from HEERF II based on financial need.
 

The institution will receive $30,500 from the Department of Education pursuant to the Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to the Students.

A total of $30,500 of the Emergency Financial Aid Grants will be distributed to the students within 30 days of submission and 45 days thereafter. 


 

An estimated total of 69 students at Arnold’s Beauty School are eligible to participate in the program under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.

The Institution determined that all students enrolled in the Cosmetology program as of July 1, 2021 were impacted by the Covid-19 crisis and would receive the  Emergency Financial Aid Grants determined amounts based on their financial need.

46 Students will receive $500 each for a total of $23,000
4 Students will receive $450 each for a total of $1800
19 Students will receive $300 each for a total of $5700

Students were informed of the monies available for this form through a post and email addressed to all enrolled students on our Google Classroom that lead them to this page.
